Delhi like Metro rail for Jalandhar

Sukhbir Badal has promised , inter-atia, Metro for Jalandhar at the cost of above Rs. 2000 crores. This is the most welcome. We can start with a local train network without much investment as Jalandhar has 6 trunk and branch lines( Amritsar, Ludhiana, Nakodar, Ferozpur, Hoshiarpur and Jammu).Local Sub-urban stations should be established. To begin with Urban Estate should be given a railway station (on Jalandhar Nakodar Road line). The vacant land of Sewerage Pumping Station ( Garha ) should be used for Urban Estate Railway.
